Chris Rosica, Boys & Girls Club of Ironbound
This year’s recipient of the Peter T. Maher Volunteer
of the Year Award. Chris Rosica, Principal
of Rosica Strategic Public Relations, Paramus, NJ, has been the driving force
behind the Marketing Advisory Board since 2004; initiating the Marketing
Professional Advisory Board concept and has served as its chair from the past 5
years. During
that time, his company has provided hundreds
of thousands of dollars of pro bono public relations expertise and services to
benefit Boys & Girls Clubs in New Jersey. These efforts have landed Boys
& Girls Clubs on the front page of the Star Ledger and in network and cable
TV news and radio broadcast countless times.
As a State Youth of the Year Judge in 2004,
Chris got bitten by the Boys & Girls Club bug and has passionately
advocated for our cause and continues to expand his involvement. He has served
on the Concert For Kids Committee and the Ironbound Boys & Girls Club Board
for the past two years and recently provided valuable media training to Club
Execs and Board Volunteers and co-presented a Youth of the Year Ambassador
Training for former local Youth of the Year from throughout the State.
Chris is no stranger to helping non-profit
organizations. He presently holds
positions on the following boards: United Way of Essex & West Hudson,
Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, HMC Council, and New York’s Young
Entrepreneurs’ Organization (YEO). With
amazing volunteers like Chris, dedicated staff and quality programs Boys &
Girls Clubs in New Jersey have a lot to celebrate!
