Steve Fodor has been a part of the Boys & Girls Club of Wayne since it's
inception in 1971. Steve, a Club alumnus, was among the first participants in
the Wayne Club, taking part in the football program and teen activities.
In 1989, Steve returned to his roots, joining the Board of Directors and giving
back to the football program that taught him many valuable life lessons as a
coach. For eleven years Steve helped youngsters learn the value of teamwork and
fair play as part of the coaching staff. As a Board Member, Steve has been an active
participant for fifteen years. He has served as the Chairman of the Long Range
Planning Committee, Board Secretary and his current role as Second Vice
President and Marketing Committee Chairman. Steve has seen the Club progress
from the early years as an athletic club with a limited membership base, to a
vibrant youth development agency offering programs in education, technology,
the arts, preventive services, as well as leadership development.
More recently Steve has become an active representative for his Club in Area
Council activities. He initially started as a member of the Marketing Committee
where his graphic design and printing background has proved very valuable in
developing attractive newsletters, invitations and other promotional items. In
March of this year, Steve was elected to serve as Vice Chairman of the Area
Council which also gives him a role on the State Directorıs Advisory Board.
Steve takes his position seriously and brings a refreshing new perspective to
many important issues facing the group.
An active participant in many community organizations, Steve also serves as the
President of the Trinity Academy Home School Association, is a football and
baseball coach in Caldwell and also serves as a Cub Scout leader. Steve and his
wife Ellen have two boys, Andrew, age 8, and Tyler, age 4, and resides in
Caldwell, NJ.
In his spare time, Steve is the Production Manager of Cheshire Studio, a
graphic design and commercial printing firm, in Morristown, where he has worked
for almost fifteen years.
